This is an example of Misty's periodontal disease. Food is packed from side to side between the first and second lower left cheek teeth. The food is trapped in the space and has a terrible odor. The gum is receding.
Misty had eight of these two on each arcade. The inflammation associated with these multiple pockets is very painful and caused Misty to drop food while chewing.
